Angling a Churchill is a no-brainer, but I disagree it's not well protected in the front. Outside of KV's it will still take care of everything you meet with a bit of aiming. The 2-pounder considering what it is is actually quite an excellent gun. You need to treat it like tiger h1 armor, poor when not angled or hull down. You need to use it as a (poor choice) breakthrough tank or a bunker and use your treads as it's primary armor since 88mm at 90 degrees is not that great at 3.3. Originally posted by Cop Unit 12:Churchill 1 gun is quite bad due to it being only a 2 pounder. I think Britain is overall a very fun nation to play. The Chieftains and Challengers favour a defensive playstyle, where you want to leave pushing for your other teammates and instead sit hulldown and snipe. Most British MBT's have great reload times and good penetration for the Centurions, amazing penetration for the Chieftains and somewhat average penetration for the Challengers. Later tanks with this gun can also shoot APDS which is great for sniping, but bad for flanking.Īfter these you get into MBT territory.

Just about any tank that wields the 17 pounder will lolpen just about anything it faces and one-shot it, despite not having APHE. The other two have adequate guns with good reload speed and great armour. The last Churchill kind of suffers though. The Churchills are all quite good heavies. I think the early vehicles are all very good. A lot of them also have short stop stabilizers (meaning that when you suddenly stop your vehicle, your gun will be on target quicker). The earlier tanks are all quite fast for the most part (except tank destroyer and heavy tanks) and tend to have great penetration and reload time.
