Overall I got around five hours of play out of the game, which by VR standards is actually really solid.
The first-person shooter has found a natural home on the Quest. This was the only time that I felt ridiculous though I’m sure people watching me play would have thought that I looked hilarious the entire time. Given how horrible I am at hitting people with thrown objects, I decided to forgo those and I got into a crab-like position then started throwing continuous punches left and right at the same time. I was actually getting my bearings straight on a tiny bridge with two enemies on either side of you and two ninja stars up front. I think the biggest workout I had involved a very early section in the game. After my first 30-minute session, I was sweating profusely and I felt sore throughout my legs for the next few days.

The great thing about this being in virtual reality is the vast amount of exercise you do even when it seems that you’re moving that much. That might sound sound annoying but it’s actually blast to try out different things each time. Superhot VR is a new iteration in the Superhot series that first became so popular in 2016. Fail on the last one of these and you will have to do all of the prior rounds once more. After doing about five or six of these rounds in a row, you get a checkpoint of sorts and then do a few more rounds.
